Will the CSR concept exist in 10-15 years? Or will there survive only companies that have a built-in impact in their business models? Perhaps, still quite unknown in Ukraine pro bono practice will supersede classical social responsibility? What is pro bono, where did the idea come from, and what benefit does it bring to employees and the company as a whole? And most importantly, what can we learn from Europe and Europe from us?

During the panel, we will talk about this with the Impact Investor, an international CSR expert, the head of the CSR Development Center, a representative of the Pro Bono global network and co-founder of Impact Hub Moscow.
Big business is beginning to accept its broader social responsibilities. Ethical reporting, community engagement, employee training, and socially-driven market practices are all aligning to support a higher level of commitment from companies.

This session will present new forms of pro bono in Europe and will introduce the concept of citizen lobbying.
According to the Edelman's «Earned Brand 2016 – Global Results» report, 62 % of today's consumers will not buy the product or service if a brand fails to meet societal obligations.

How Ukrainian businesses manage to incorporate pro bono and CSR into their business models and benefit from it? This and more will be discussed by specialists from retail, logistics and communications spheres
Recent researches on leadership show that today, a leader must first and foremost learn and be able to do it on an ongoing basis and in literally any conditions. Many testimonials from corporate employees have proven that one of the best ways to learn is through volunteering.

Anna Lewis, Leadership Development Expert, will tell how corporate volunteering makes the company more engaged, and they have additional opportunities for development.
In 2015, the UN announced the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals. After that, each country and many businesses committed to working to achieve them and help transform our world. Many Ukrainian companies join and align their CSR programs with the Sustainable Development Goals and focus on specific issues each year.

We at Pro Bono Club Ukraine conducted a survey on CSR in Ukraine and will present its findings (along with a catalog of CSR focuses) at this session, and then discuss this with a Global Compact Specialist in Ukraine.
DTEK will present energy efficiency and housing reform case called «Energy School»

The innovative project «Energy Efficient Schools: The New Generation» was launched in 2012. It provides the continuity of online education on energy efficiency and housing reform: elementary school (a course of choice "My Energy Efficient Home" for 4th grade), high school (elective course "Fundamentals of Energy Supply and Energy Saving" for students in grades 6-8) and high school (optional course "Alphabet for Housing and Communal Services" for students in grades 9-11 with the online game "Smart Home"). The online distance learning platform (PDN) has no analogues in Ukraine. Courses and PDN received the MESU stamp.

During this session, Ukrainian companies and NGOs will have 45 concentrated minutes to get to know each other, socialize, and build partnerships.
Numerous companies (such as Mars Incorporated) invest significant amounts of money in corporate volunteering programs for their employees. Moreover, they double these amounts every year. And this is because they understand the ROI of such activities for the development of the company and employees.

What are the specific benefits for the business by initiating volunteering at a company? How to convince a top manager of the need for such activities? Joerg Bauer, ex-chairman of GE Hungary and owner and CEO of Tunsgram, will share his experience by answering these questions.
